The VR Games Showcase is gearing up for another exciting edition this March, promising what organizers are calling the “biggest line-up yet” of XR games. Though details remain sparse for now, particularly regarding the exact date of the event, officials have hinted on social media that more information is just around the corner.
As with previous showcases, we’re anticipating an array of announcements about the participating studios, which should give us some clues about the titles we can expect to see. Brace yourself for a strong focus on Quest games, along with offerings for PSVR 2 and PC VR.
Reflecting on last year’s showcase, it was buzzing with game unveilings and updates. We got a peek into gameplay for HITMAN III: Reloaded, the Arizona Sunshine Remake by Vertigo Games, Fast Travel Games’ Action Hero, and a trailer for the survival game GRIM, among other announcements from seven different studios, showcasing more than 15 titles in total.
Just a month later, the event also featured an ‘XR Indies and Friends’ showcase. It provided fresh insights into Innerspace VR’s One True Path, gameplay from Cyborn’s mixed reality adventure Wall Town Wonders, a trailer for the VR take on Ovid Works’ Kafka-inspired Metamorphosis, and gameplay from Just Add Water’s arcade digging sim DIG VR.
While we eagerly await more updates, keep an eye on the VR Games Showcase YouTube channel, where the event will be streamed live, for the latest announcements as March approaches.
