Hold onto your game controllers, folks! We’ve got some thrilling updates about 2XKO that have just hit the social media circuit, and they’re making this month a whole lot more interesting. What’s the buzz, you ask? Well, it’s a heads-up about an upcoming development update video packed with insights about the game, Jinx, and details on the forthcoming Alpha Lab test. It seems like exciting times are ahead!
Ben Forbes, 2XKO’s editor-in-chief, is the bearer of this update, having shared the scoop on Twitter. In his tweet, he revealed, “We just wrapped up filming the next 2XKO update! We’re in the process of editing, producing, and localizing it, but here’s what you can expect: an in-depth look at the gameplay changes we’ve made since Alpha Lab 1 (including to Jinx!), more info on Alpha Lab 2, and a showmatch featuring the dev team.”
He didn’t stop there. The tweet continues with, “This update goes pretty deep, so the video might run about an hour or so. We’re aiming to release it in the last week of March. Admittedly, we’re not quite ready to venture into PowerPoint livestreams yet, but we’re getting there…”
However, before anyone gets too excited, Ben clarified that there won’t be any new character surprises in this update. So maybe hold off on those character speculation bets for now.
In the past year, the 2XKO team left us with a sign-off saying, “See you next year,” promising new details in February. But things took a little turn when game director Shaun Rivera announced some adjustments via Twitter. Among the changes are alterations in the scope for the next Alpha Labs test and a new fusion within the game.
It appears that internal timelines and priorities at Riot have shifted slightly, causing the anticipated February update to slide to this month. Despite these changes, with the game still slated for release this year, it’s going to be refreshing to receive a comprehensive update on current developments, ongoing projects, and possibly a glimpse of where we might see 2XKO emerge in the not-too-distant future.
