As of today, Alien: Rogue Incursion makes its debut on both PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets. Fans of the Xenomorph-infused horror-shooter will have to wait until February next year for the Quest version. Meanwhile, developer Survios has already gotten a head start on the eagerly anticipated ‘Part Two.’
In our complete review of Part One, we got to dive into the game’s rich atmosphere and gripping storyline, awarding it a solid [7/10]. However, we found that the experience could sometimes feel repetitive due to similar enemy encounters, and the save system proved to be quite unforgiving.
Even though Part One stands on its own as a distinct game within the series, delivering approximately eight hours of immersive Xenomorph action and engaging narrative twists, it seamlessly sets the stage for Part Two, leaving players eager for more.
Though the specific details of what’s to come remain under wraps, we do know that we’re in for some fresh experiences beyond the repetitive Xenomorph gangs of Part One. Survios has shared that Part Two will push Zula into battles against even deadlier foes and introduce tougher challenges. The development is already underway.
Before we get to Part Two, there’s the release of Part One for the Quest to consider. It’s scheduled exclusively for Quest 3/3S on February 13th, 2025. Transitioning those complex, dynamically loading levels, along with the detailed textures and interactive physics, to Quest 3’s mobile setup isn’t a simple task, which likely explains the initial delay for the Quest version’s arrival.
With the fundamental systems for Part One already established, there’s hope for a quick development of Zula Hendricks’ forthcoming (and potentially concluding) battle to eliminate every last rogue Xenomorph from the science station.
