OneXPlayer recently introduced its latest innovation, the X1 Pro, which boasts a versatile 3-in-1 design and is powered by AMD’s Strix Point APUs. This new model joins the ranks of the F1 Pro and Ayaneo 3 as one of the first handheld devices to feature AMD’s Zen 5 Strix Point APUs. It’s positioned to be a strong contender against GPD’s upcoming Pocket 4 mini-laptops in the handheld computing market.
The OneXPlayer X1 Pro is designed with versatility in mind, as it functions as a laptop, tablet, and handheld device. Similar to the Pocket 4, it includes the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, packing 12 cores (with a combination of four Zen 5 and eight Zen5c cores) in a dual-CCX layout, along with 12MB of L2 cache and 24MB of L3 cache. The device is capable of reaching a boost clock of 5.1 GHz. On the graphics front, it’s equipped with the Radeon 890M iGPU, featuring 16 Compute Units. Thanks to AMD’s XDNA 2, the NPU on the HX 370 delivers up to 50 TOPS of AI performance.
Showcasing a stunning 10.95-inch 120 Hz LTPS (likely IPS) display, the X1 Pro offers a vibrant 2560×1600 (2.5K) resolution. Its screen is particularly impressive, as it covers 138% of the sRGB color space with a brightness of 540 nits. Storage options are flexible, ranging from 1TB to 4TB, and support speeds up to 7.1 GB/s for reading and 6.5 GB/s for writing in the 2280 form factor. For added convenience, OneXPlayer includes a MicroSD card slot for additional storage expansion.
When it comes to pricing, there are various configurations available:
– HX 370 with 1TB Storage + 32GB RAM for $1,399 (presale) or $1,599 (retail)
– HX 370 with 2TB Storage + 32GB RAM for $1,499 (presale) or $1,699 (retail)

The X1 Pro features a 65.02Wh battery, promising up to eight hours of usage, though real-world figures may differ. At 28W, you can expect around two hours of battery life. Included with the device is a 100W Gallium Nitride charger, ensuring fast recharging. It supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 for seamless connectivity.
The device also comes with controller features like hall-effect RGB joysticks to prevent stick drift. As for ports, it offers two USB 4.0 ports, an OCuLink interface, a MicroSD card slot, a USB 3.2 Type-A port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
