Social Discovery Group, the creators of Dating.com and DateMyAge.com, has unveiled an exciting new venture studio focused on making virtual intimacy the standard. They’re setting their sights on nurturing up-and-coming startups in fields such as AI-enhanced communication, XR (Extended Reality) technology, and platforms for social discovery.
Introducing SDG Lab—this initiative promises an impressive annual investment of $20 million. They’ve designed a fundraising process that’s streamlined and accessible, enabling budding entrepreneurs to secure seed funding for developing their products and obtaining extra capital to help scale up their businesses.
Among SDG Lab’s standout investments are the virtual dating platform ‘VR Chat&Date’ and several niche-oriented dating apps like Kiseki, Flure, and AstroLove.
Helmed by Alex Kudos, who previously served as CMO at Social Discovery Group, SDG Lab offers more than just financial backing. They’re extending a helping hand to startups involved in crafting social discovery and connection technologies by providing vital resources such as legal support, back-office assistance, tech infrastructure, and guidance in marketing strategies.
“Social interaction is on the brink of an evolution, with digital intimacy leading the charge,” said Alex Kudos, now CEO of SDG Lab. “We go beyond simply funding ideas at SDG Lab—we’re actively shaping the future of how people connect. By partnering with visionary entrepreneurs, we’re developing technologies that facilitate genuine relationships, no matter where people find themselves globally.”
Kudos went on to say, “Virtual relationships and AI-fueled connections have transitioned from science fiction to a key part of our digital reality. SDG Lab is paving the way for the next generation of products that will redefine how individuals connect, interact, and form bonds online.”
