The team over at Combat Waffle, known for their work on Ghosts of Tabor, is gearing up for the release of their latest VR shooter, Silent North. This upcoming title is promising to deliver a thrilling multiplayer zombie survival experience, with early access set to hit both the Quest and Steam platforms sometime in March.
In collaboration with Beyond Frames Entertainment, Silent North transports players to the rugged Swiss Alps. Here, you’re thrust into a harsh environment teeming with zombies and other players who are just as desperate to survive as you are. It’s a dog-eat-dog world out there, and everyone’s got an eye on your gear.
Players have the option to band together for strength in numbers or to brave the challenges alone, all while scavenging for vital equipment and warding off an endless horde of the undead. According to the studio, this game is brimming with PVPVE action, meaning you’ll constantly be on the edge of your seat, whether you’re negotiating mountain paths or traversing open plains. Every encounter, be it with the infected or fellow survivors, promises heart-pounding combat. Be warned: other players might be lurking around every corner, ready to pounce.
For those eager to dive into this exciting world, pre-orders for Silent North have now opened on the Horizon Store for $17, down from its regular price of $20—a neat 15% saving. The game is also available to wishlist on Steam, where similar launch discounts will apply.
While the game will be accessible via Steam and Horizon Store in early March, Combat Waffle has yet to reveal when Silent North will make its way to other VR platforms like PSVR 2 and Pico headsets.
As of February 21, 2024, the studio is sticking to a March launch window but hasn’t locked down an exact release date just yet. Stay tuned for updates!
