Metallica Music Pack Released for ‘Beat Saber’: The Largest and Priciest DLC Yet

This update introduces some of the legendary band’s most iconic tracks to the exhilarating block-slashing platform loved by gamers worldwide.

The Metallica Music Pack stands out not only for its content but also for its price. At $20, it marks one of the largest and priciest bundles released so far, featuring 17 songs with an option to purchase individual tracks at $2 each. Historically, music packs for Beat Saber peaked around $15 and usually offered about a dozen tracks.

The selection of songs is a treat for Metallica fans, boasting timeless hits like “Enter Sandman,” “Nothing Else Matters,” and “Master of Puppets.” Together, these tracks offer over an hour and a half of playtime.

A standout new feature is ‘Variable Note Jump Speed,’ which dynamically alters the speed of incoming blocks based on the song’s intensity, making the experience more immersive and demanding.

For those who haven’t yet grabbed Beat Saber (normally priced at $30), there’s a special offer: the base game is currently available in a bundle with the Metallica Music Pack for $40 until January 31, 2025, after which it will return to its full price of $45. This bundled deal is accessible on Quest, PSVR 2, and SteamVR headsets.
