HOOP-O Studios, known for its innovative mixed reality gaming experiences, has announced the upcoming launch of their latest title, “Alex and the Jets,” set to hit Quest 3 devices next month.
In “Alex and the Jets,” you’ll step into the shoes of Alex the Squirrel as you pilot a small prop plane in this fun, arcade-style flight adventure. Your mission? Battle the mischievous aerial foes from ‘The Jets’ gang, who burst into your virtual space through wall portals. As you navigate this engaging sky-high adventure, you’ll have opportunities to fly through donut-shaped rings that offer weapon upgrades and health boosts to keep you in top fighting form.
But the excitement doesn’t stop at combat. The game also includes a free roam mode, letting players explore their environment without the pressure of enemies. You can track your high scores with local leaderboards and jazz up Alex’s look with various cosmetics available in the in-game store.
One intriguing detail is that HOOP-O Studios has assured us that the gameplay shown in the trailer was recorded directly using the headset’s camera, proving that the visual experience is just as immersive as promised.
While the exact release date is still under wraps, the team is aiming for an April launch. Keep an eye on the Horizon Store for updates, as “Alex and the Jets” will be available on both Quest 3 and Quest 3S platforms.
