Nintendo has emphasized the importance of exclusive games when it comes to the launch of the much-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2.
These insights came in answer to a query from a shareholder curious about the future of new games for the original Nintendo Switch. This question arose particularly in light of what would happen once its successor reaches the market.
According to Nintendo’s president, Shuntaro Furukawa, “We’ve already announced titles such as Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, set to be released for the Nintendo Switch in 2025. As many players continue to enjoy the current Nintendo Switch, we are keen to keep bringing exciting new games to the lineup.”
Furukawa went on to stress, “However, when it comes to releasing new hardware, having exclusive games is key. We are exploring how both the existing Nintendo Switch and the new Nintendo Switch 2 can captivate and delight as many gamers as possible.”
