Behaviour Interactive has just rolled out the April 2025 content roadmap for Dead by Daylight, an asymmetrical horror game that’s been keeping players on the edge of their seats since 2016. With over 60 million users diving into the game’s chilling universe across various platforms, it’s safe to say that its popularity is partly fueled by an array of engaging crossovers. Dead by Daylight has welcomed iconic villains from franchise titans like Stranger Things, Silent Hill, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The latest roadmap outlines what players can look forward to throughout the month of April.
The standout addition for this month is the crossover with Tokyo Ghoul, launched on April 2. Fans can now encounter Ken Kaneki, or The Ghoul, stepping into the killer’s shoes. Meanwhile, survivors have the chance to grab a variety of costumes inspired by the anime. The roadmap also signals the return of the ever-popular Blood Moon event, running from April 7 to April 29, offering daily rewards for those who check in during this period.
April 12 marks a special day as Behaviour will host a real-life Dead by Daylight gathering at Horrorcon in Scotland. Following closely on April 15, the next Player Test Build (PTB) is set to roll out. Although the specifics of this PTB are still under wraps, it promises to offer a sneak peek into upcoming game changes and adjustments. What’s more, players can look forward to a new Techwear collection and a Fragment Frenzy mini-event come April 22.
While April is eagerly anticipated for the exciting events and updates, it’s not all sunshine. The Hellraiser chapter, a fan favorite since it was brought to life in 2021, has been withdrawn from the game. Pinhead, a character beloved within the community, remains accessible to those who unlocked him prior to this change, but the chapter itself is no longer available. There’s speculation that licensing tussles might be the reason behind this removal.
Despite the setback, there’s plenty on the horizon for players to get excited about. The return of the Blood Moon event is an eagerly awaited treat, and the developers at Behaviour seem keen to meet fan expectations. Should the Tokyo Ghoul collaboration become as successful as anticipated, we might see Dead by Daylight opening its doors wider to include more anime favorites, enriching the chilling experience for its vibrant community.
