The thrill of pairing up heroes in Marvel Rivals is a core part of the gameplay, offering you a chance to unleash some thematic and powerful moves when two or more Marvel heroes join forces. These Team-Up abilities not only amp up the game’s excitement but can also dramatically shift the course of a battle, provided you understand how to use them effectively.
With the launch of Season 2, several fresh Team-Ups have made their debut, while a few have been cycled out, keeping the gameplay experience dynamic. NetEase Games has committed to expanding these Team-Ups as more heroes join the fray.
In this guide, I’ll demystify how Team-Up attacks function and delve into the specifics of every Team-Up currently featured in the game.
Marvel Rivals’ Season 2 brings 18 Team-Up abilities, matched with a roster of 38 heroes. However, two Team-Ups are presently unavailable, potentially returning in future updates.
Each Team-Up is distinct, offering strategic advantages when certain heroes are paired. You’ll see prospective Team-Up partners in the character select screen, right in the center. Some are passive, like Hela’s Ragnarok Rebirth, which lets her revive Thor or Loki during battles if they’re on her team. Others, such as Rocket Raccoon’s Ammo Overload, grant active abilities, benefiting either the hero initiating the Team-Up or their allies.
It’s noteworthy that Team-Ups can be somewhat uneven, meaning not every hero directly benefits from their allies. Take Lunar Force, for instance; it doesn’t enhance Cloak & Dagger when they team up with Moon Knight. Yet, Moon Knight gains the valuable ability of occasionally turning invisible, thanks to their presence.
While Team-Ups aren’t essential for winning, they are powerful tools worth mastering. Knowing multiple characters can help you pivot your strategy to support an ally through a Team-Up, enhancing your chance of success.
Below is a comprehensive list of all 18 Team-Ups available in Season 2 of Marvel Rivals:
Update (April 11): We’ve removed the inactive Team-Ups, Metallic Chaos and Voltaic Union, from the list. They’ll be reintroduced if they return to the game.
As NetEase Games continues to expand Marvel Rivals, you can expect to see a growing array of Team-Up abilities emerge, keeping the gameplay fresh and exciting.
