Koei Tecmo, the Japanese gaming giant, has announced that Hisashi Koinuma will step into the role of CEO, starting April 1, 2025. Koinuma, who has been serving as the company’s chief operating officer, has also held the titles of president and general manager for the entertainment division, brings a wealth of experience to the table.
In a strategic move, Koei Tecmo is restructuring by splitting the company into two distinct entities: Koei Tecmo Games and Koei Tecmo Corporate Finance. This decision is aimed at refining their focus and enhancing their operational efficiency.
“We’re on a mission to become the world’s leading digital entertainment company by embracing ‘creativity and contribution’ as our guiding principles,” Koei Tecmo expressed to its shareholders.
Over the past months, the Nomination and Compensation Committee has been diligently planning this transition to pave the way for a new era of leadership.
With these changes set to roll out in the fiscal year 2025, the company is poised for enhanced growth and profitability, ushering in a fresh management structure that underscores their commitment to innovation and success.
