Welcome to Iceshard Cliffs, a fresh locale dripping with mystery and snow. As the hunter among the Expedition Team, you’ll explore these frosty terrains and encounter some fierce, snow-loving monsters. This area’s known for its relentless blizzards, painting a scene right out of nature’s wildest dreams.
Dense icy fog swirls above, and you’ll need to keep your wits—and warmth—with you as you trek through this chilling expanse. Make sure to sip a hot drink to fend off the cold and keep sharp amidst the drifting snows.
Meet Rove: A Wayward Wudwud Adventurer
In this new setting, you’ll bump into Rove, an oddly charming Wudwud who’s ventured far from its usual habitat.
The Monsters of Iceshard Cliffs Await
Enter Hirabami, a Leviathan species flexing sharp tail claws and sporting a unique neck membrane that lets it glide effortlessly.
And then, there’s Nerscylla, back to haunt the series with its deadly horn and sneaky tactics.

Get Ready for OBT2
Mark your calendars for OBT2, which is happening on these dates:
- February 6th-9th, 2025
- February 13th-16th, 2025
Pre-loading begins on February 5th, so dive in when you can. This round features the same content from November’s beta, with a character creation demo, story trial, and Doshagma hunt.
Hunters, get set to face off against Gypceros and test your skills against Arkveld in a challenging quest in OBT2. The Training Area is also open for you to refine your combat techniques.
You can host private sessions or enjoy single-player in Online mode. Whether you missed the last beta or aim to conquer this one, there’s something for everyone.
OBT2 is available to anyone with a PS5 and a PlayStation Network account, PlayStation Plus membership not required. Just by joining in, you’ll snag some cool in-game goodies.
Pro users: While OBT2 runs on the PS5 Pro, enhanced features will be applied with the game’s full release, coming as a day-one patch.
Characters from these tests carry over, with only minor tweaks. So, enjoy a seamless transition to the full game once it drops on February 28!
