Good news for PlayStation fans—Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Mythology: Retold are coming to PlayStation 5! This cross-platform availability is transforming our franchise, fostering a sense of unity among players. By enabling cross-play, we’re creating a singular, global arena where every strategy counts, every empire is significant, and every player makes an impact.
On March 4, Age of Mythology: Retold will not only expand with the Immortal Pillars, but also open its doors to PlayStation 5 players. They will join Arkantos in choosing a pantheon and battling for divine favor, enjoying all content found on Xbox and PC. Additionally, the new Chinese pantheon in Immortal Pillars will enhance their gameplay.

2025 Brings Two Exciting New DLCs for Age IV
Fantastic news for Age of Empires IV fans! While we hinted at new DLC last year, we’re delivering not one, but two DLCs this year! These expansions will touch on evolving concepts like variant civilizations, motivated by your feedback. Variant civilizations let us explore diverse strategies used by historical powers, including some long-awaiting ones since The Sultans Ascend. We’re also introducing new units, upgrading visuals for better readability, and offering fresh experiences, alongside exciting new game modes that challenge you to adapt and evolve your skills.
The wait won’t be long! Launching this spring, the first DLC, Knights of Cross and Rose, introduces new gameplay experiences to Age IV, including leading historical armies with a solo mode that challenges strategy enthusiasts.
