Playground Games has made an exciting announcement that Forza Horizon 5 is making its way to the PS5. If you’ve already conquered all the Forza Horizon 5 achievements on Xbox and are itching to dive back in, soon you’ll be able to earn PlayStation trophies as well. Although a specific release date hasn’t been set yet, PlayStation fans can gear up for its arrival sometime in the spring.
This marks a significant shift as Forza Horizon 5 becomes the latest Xbox exclusive to broaden its horizons to the PS5 audience. The game’s adaptation for PS5 is being developed by Panic Button in collaboration with Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games. It’s slated for release in the spring of 2025. In their blog, Playground Games expressed their excitement: “The Horizon Festival is opening its arms to a fresh community of gamers. With nearly 900 cars to choose from, more than 40 thematic updates, two thrilling expansions, and a wealth of additional content, we’re thrilled to welcome PS5 players to the vibrant landscapes of Mexico and the dynamic Horizon Festival for the first time.”
Panic Button, in partnership with Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games, is handling the development for this version. Fans can look forward to the same rich content featured in the Xbox version, including exciting expansions like Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure, which will be readily available for purchase, as well as previously released car packs.
Adding even more excitement, Playground Games is crafting a special new free update called Horizon Realms, available across all platforms. Horizon Realms promises to let players discover a curated collection of fan-favorite Evolving Worlds, along with a few unexpected surprises.
