PQube and Inti Creates have just announced an official release date for Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark, which is set to arrive on Nintendo Switch.
This game, wrapped in gothic aesthetics, plunges players into the Demon Realm, a chaos-filled world where Demon Lords incessantly clash for dominance.
The adventure kicks off as Kirikia and Masha, two devoted maids of Demon Lord Maxim, come back to find their castle in ruins, demolished by the rival Demon Lord Lyzenorg. Driven by the hope of restoring their master to his prime, they embark on a thrilling journey of revenge and rejuvenation.
The game’s publisher has shared an intriguing list of features to look forward to:
Gal*Gun-vania: Experience a fully realized Metroidvania as you delve into the Demon Realm, discovering numerous combos and possibilities with your two character options that can be upgraded.
Revive Your Allies: As you rescue each of Maxim’s vassals, they contribute to fortifying your home base, the Demon Lord’s castle. With every revival, unlock extra features that aid in your vengeful quest.
Sister Power: The protagonist sisters, Kirika and Masha, bring distinct gameplay styles. Kirika wields demonic firearms, while Masha excels at whipping foes at close quarters!
Couch and Online Co-op: Whether playing on the same couch or online, team up with a friend—each taking control of one sister—and unlock new paths or overcome tough foes using your unique collaboration.
Collect and Craft: Slay enemies and scour chests for random consumables, sub-weapons, and “Demon Relics”—passive upgrades. These items help you gain special abilities to venture into new territories on the map.
Choose your “Style”: Adopt the “Style” system reminiscent of its predecessor, selecting from “Casual”, “Veteran”, or “Legend” levels. Switch between these modes at your convenience as the content remains consistent.
