Astro Bot Receives Free Holiday-Themed Level Tomorrow

This week, Team Asobi is adding a festive twist to its popular 3D platformer, Astro Bot, with a free holiday-themed level. Dubbed “Winter Wonder,” this new adventure is set to launch on Thursday evening and will be accessible to gamers who’ve completed the main game.

While the developers are keeping details under wraps, they did tease in a PlayStation blog that players can anticipate a “fun-filled level with shiny presents, a good dose of jingle bells, and brand-new special bots.” Designed with both youngsters and adults in mind, the level promises to be entertaining without inducing frustration from overly difficult challenges.

For a long time now, Team Asobi has been Sony’s trusted developer for tech demo titles. Their work includes Astro’s Playroom, which came out with the PlayStation 5 to showcase the console’s capabilities, and Astro Bot Rescue Mission, which highlighted the PlayStation VR headset’s features.

In a blog post, the team expressed their gratitude, explaining that the additional level is a token of appreciation for the positive feedback from fans and critics alike.
