Hello, Fellow Trailblazers! The Honkai: Star Rail development team greets you with excitement. It’s been a minute since our last chat, but we’re here with fresh details about version 2.7, “A New Venture on the Eighth Dawn,” scheduled for release on December 4. This update wraps up our adventures in Penacony, setting the stage for a thrilling new storyline in version 3.0. Our next quest will see the Astral Express heading toward the enigmatic Amphoreus, known as the Eternal Land.
Reflecting on our previous story arc, we recall Black Swan’s intriguing suggestion: travel to Amphoreus, a realm so mystifying that even Akivili, the Aeon of Trailblaze, never touched its shores. Filled with curiosity but mindful of the unknowns, our dependable Navigator Himeko sets out to gather whatever information she can about this mysterious destination. Meanwhile, the Crew’s final stop in Penacony is a heartfelt reunion with old friends, making for some truly memorable farewells before embarking on their next bold journey.
### Old Friends Stepping Back into the Limelight
Memories of that spectacular performance at the Penacony Grand Theater feel as fresh as yesterday. Both the Astral Express and Penacony have awakened from their dreams, and so has Sunday. There’s something nostalgic yet invigorating about standing on stage with Mr. Sunday once again. Having stepped down from his position as the head of the Oak Family, he chooses to explore the world as an ordinary being. This time, with the help of the elusive Pepeshi named Wonweek, he has returned to Penacony. Here, he wishes to deliver one more unforgettable performance, hidden beneath his robe and hood, before embarking on a mortal quest for utopia—a last dance on the Planet of Festivities.
As a top-tier 5-star Imaginary character, Sunday shines with his distinctive Support capabilities. His skills allow an ally to take immediate action and boost their damage output. If the ally boasts a Summon, both benefit from an action and further damage enhancement. When Sunday unleashes his Ultimate, he regenerates Energy for an ally and elevates both the ally and their Summon to The Beatified status, marked by a halo that boosts CRIT DMG.
Another eagerly anticipated character is Fugue, previously known as our dear friend Tingyun. Once a sharp-witted foxian girl, Fugue finds her identity, including her name and appearance, stolen. Yet, fate has left a faint thread of hope, even as the mark of Destruction stirs within her. Tingyun narrowly dodged death after Phantylia’s assault in version 1.2’s main storyline, surviving only through the intervention of Madam Ruan Mei from the Genius Society, who gave her a second shot at life. Recently, Himeko and Welt paid a visit to Madam Ruan Mei and took on the task of bringing Tingyun home, rejuvenating her journey back where she belongs.
Fugue, a 5-star Fire champion, excels in supporting allies by lowering enemies’ Toughness, irrespective of their Type Weaknesses. When Fugue steps onto the field, foes are impacted by the Cloudflame Luster effect. Once this state hits zero, the enemy suffers Break Damage again. Moreover, when team members attack Weakness Broken targets, they inflict Super Break Damage. Fugue’s Technique further boosts allies’ Break Effect, and her Ultimate delivers Fire Damage across all opponents, by directly reducing their Toughness without considering their Weakness Type.
Returning in the version 2.7 warp event are the remarkable 5-star characters, General Jing Yuan and Firefly, who appear in the first and second halves, respectively. Their robust support capabilities render them indispensable allies for your forthcoming adventures.
