Nintendo is kicking off the holiday shopping season with a bang by offering significant discounts on their popular Switch consoles just in time for Black Friday. For a limited period, you can snag the standard Switch for $224.99 and the more advanced Switch OLED for $274.99, both marked down by $75. These deals are part of a special bundle that also features $79 worth of extras, including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a three-month subscription to Nintendo Switch Online. With this subscription, you’ll enjoy online multiplayer, cloud storage for your saves, access to a library of retro games, and even the Nintendo Music mobile app.
Historically, since their respective releases, neither of these consoles has seen such substantial discounts. Previously, savings were mostly limited to retailer-specific promotions that tended to sell out quickly or required a Costco membership. Generally, Nintendo has preferred to enhance the appeal of their consoles through value-added bundles rather than cutting prices directly, often including games or trials for their online services.
