Canadian studio Worlds Untold has hit the pause button on its operations for the moment.
In a LinkedIn update, the team shared that they are on the hunt for a new partner to collaborate with. The studio initially made headlines back in November 2023, under the leadership of BioWare veteran Mac Walters. At its inception, Worlds Untold was supported by the Chinese gaming powerhouse NetEase—we’ve reached out to them for more details on the current status of this partnership.
“This wasn’t a decision that came easily to us. It’s been an incredibly personal journey, and every team member takes immense pride in what we’ve created together,” the studio expressed in their LinkedIn post.
“During this interim period, our amazing team will be exploring new avenues. If you’re in search of passionate and talented professionals, please get in touch—I’d be thrilled to introduce you to some of the most incredible individuals I’ve ever collaborated with.”
