Devs United Games, the creative minds behind the Quest-exclusive hit, Real VR Fishing, have announced an exciting expansion: the popular VR fishing experience is finally casting its line to PC VR headsets next month.
Scheduled to debut on SteamVR headsets in early December, Real VR Fishing will maintain the same pricing and gameplay structure as its Quest counterpart. Players will have access to all downloadable content (DLC) from day one, including the US West Coast, US East Coast, Japan DLC Part 1, and Japan DLC Part 2.
The core game offers an impressive collection of 40 fishing spots and over 150 fish species, but those who dip into the DLCs will find their fishing world vastly expanded with 95 additional locations and more than 300 species.
On Quest, anglers can enjoy both solo play and a four-player multiplayer mode. However, it’s important to note that the Steam version won’t support cross-play multiplayer with Quest, Pico, and PC VR platforms, as confirmed by the developers to Road to VR.
The Steam version promises some nifty extras, too, such as integrated YouTube and web browsing, monthly updates, and customizable aquariums—features bound to enhance the virtual angling experience.
Having made its debut on Quest back in late 2019, Real VR Fishing has reeled in players and risen to become the platform’s favorite fishing game, boasting an impressive [4.6/5] star rating from over 7,200 gamers.
For those eager to add this fishing phenomenon to their collection, Real VR Fishing is now available to wishlist on Steam, just in time for its anticipated early December launch.
