Join Eli Roth for an Exclusive Tour of the Borderlands Set

Prepare for an experience you probably never imagined could be possible: a virtual tour of an actual movie set, all from the comfort of wherever you are right now. You’ll get to see the sets, the stunts, and even the actors, with none other than director Eli Roth as your personal guide.

We’re thrilled to share an exclusive glimpse into the making of the highly anticipated video game adaptation, “Borderlands.” In collaboration with Light Sail VR, Eli Roth has captured some extraordinary scenes right from the set, featuring stars such as Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, and Ariana Greenblatt. Although the footage is optimized for VR, you’ll find it impressive even in 2D.

“I’ve been a geek for VR ever since I got my hands on a GoPro 360 back in 2018,” Roth revealed in a statement. “When the pandemic hit, I knew visiting sets wasn’t feasible, so I wanted to invite the fans into the magic of creating the world of ‘Borderlands’ on set. You’ll witness just how much our talented art team in Budapest did, you’ll stand alongside the actors as they rehearse, and you’ll even catch Cate Blanchett and Ariana Greenblatt pulling off high-flying stunts from a truck bed. Partnering with my friends over at Light Sail VR, we’ve crafted an experience that plunks you right into the thick of the action, giving you a genuine sense of what it felt like to be part of the ‘Borderlands’ universe.”

In “Borderlands,” we follow the journey of a renowned bounty hunter, played by Blanchett, who returns to her home planet Pandora to track down the missing daughter of the villainous Atlas, portrayed by Edgar Ramírez. Along her quest, she teams up with a ragtag bunch who embark on a mission to unravel one of Pandora’s deepest secrets. The stellar cast also includes Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Ariana Greenblatt, Florian Munteanu, Gina Gershon, and Jamie Lee Curtis. Mark your calendars for its release on August 9.
